Hi there :)
Welcome to my space!
My name is Marilú Mapengo Námoda also known as Iseda Iyà
> Mother Nature Wa Bantu <
I* am a visionary artist,
healer, and post-activist;
In my current practice, I engage with the politics of giving birth to the futureS by exploring the possibility of Love as a political healing tool to heal the colonial wound in its multiple expressions of racism, hetero-patriarchy, and classism.
I enjoy experimenting with multiple hybrid formats that allow me to share my art within and beyond the institutional "showing" and so, to conceive my work I have been weaving the languages of Performance art, Afrikan cosmology & animist astrology, storytelling, Bantu writing symbols, healing rituals, and post-activist experiments.
